New look for sales performance
tracking product

The product team that I recently joined takes care of two products: CAMP - responsible for commercial planning and TAKT - responsible for sales performance tracking. They work together hand in hand as the co-workers enter market activities in CAMP and keep track of the progress in TAKT.

BACKGROUND OF CAMP&TAKT

In the past years, the product team was solely focused on the functionality of the products. In parallel, IKEA has launched it's own design system and co-worker subsystems. Its purpose for the future is to unify all internal IKEA tools with the design system.
I joined the team because there is a need to research core functionalities of the products and to start the transition to the Ingka co-worker design system.
Start from scratch

To be the designer who is able to start the design work in a product team - at least to me - feels like a privilege, because I have more liberty to envision and execute the design roadmap together with the product owner and the team.

Step by step

First of all, I started with laying the foundations:

• Creating a project space in Figma with the flows
• Creating a design documentation space and research repository in Confluence
• Included onboarding and offboarding (in making) documents.

All these files are a living organism that evolves through time; therefore it's important that they are frequently updated so that they can act as a single source of truth.

Prioritisation of most important flows

Our strategy is to align and review existing and the most important flows of the TAKT product with the Skapa design system and Ingka co-worker design subsystem.

These flows are created in a form of a high fidelity prototype which will be used for extensive usability testing with co-workers from IKEA stores across the world.

Before and after

On the right side we have new desiges that are aligned with the Skapa design system. Flows have been updated with the necessary usability guidelines and WCAG accessibility guidelines.

The left side is portraying the current view of the product.

LET'S TEST!

In this sprint, we are currently in the middle of setting up usability tests and recruiting available co-workers for a session to improve the flows even further.

To be continued :)
